Estate Notes

Prosecco is an amazingly popular style of wine now but a word of warning, the majority of Prosecco sold now is not of DOCG status and is quite frankly mass produced. As ever, quality is our watchword and we have listed the delightful Zucchetto Puro Fol for a while now: high quality, small production from a single vineyard and grown in the heart of the established and renowned Valdobbiadene area.

This beautifully sited estate, commanding stunning views over the ancient town of Valdobbiadene and surrounding hills, produces small quantities of a very pure expression of this wonderful sparkling style - perfect alongside hors d’oeuvres.

A lively nose of tangerine and clementine with hints of grapefruit and mint in the background. A creamy, yet supple Prosecco with a bright and crisp acidity all the way through the palate. Flavours of minerals, limes and lemons are rounded off nicely with just a hint of bitter almond.

"Slightly cloudy. Lots of acidity. Really quite demanding. Almost daring tartness. Bone dry. Again, it builds on the finish."  Jancis Robinson
