Tuscany, 2015

2015 was an excellent Tuscan vintage despite some irregular spring weather, which followed on from a cold, wet winter.

However, this inauspicious start was transformed by some exceptionally hot, dry weather in the summer growing season, which helped bring on small bunches of Sangiovese.

Some lovely, ripe, concentrated wines were made and the only downside is small yields, which were further reduced by hailstorms in August.
