Rhône Valley, 1994

1994 was a good, but irregular Rhône vintage. Despite a long, dry summer, persistent rain in September spoiled the party for many growers and turned a potentially excellent year to good.

Hermitage, Cornas and Saint-Joseph fared the best in the north, being largely unaffected by the September rains. Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe was the pick of the bunch in the south.
