Estate Notes

Two Hands’ Ares Shiraz 2008 is part of the estate's top Flagship Series, and represents the finest Shiraz made by Two Hands Wines - a statuesque, powerful and deeply flavoured wine, which combines elegance and vivacity.

Each year, every one of the estate's 1,500 barrels of Shiraz is tasted in the search of the finest cuvée to represent Ares, the pinnacle of our Shiraz production.

Two Hands was established by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz in 1999 in order to make the best possible wines in the South Australia, and in just ten years their eclectically named wines have consistently won rave reviews.

Reviews

Dark and dense, but not heavy, offering a remarkable sense of freshness to its ripe cherry, raspberry, blackberry, tea leaf, dark chocolate and smoke flavors, which compete for attention and finish with astonishing depth. Wine Spectator
