Estate Notes

Two Hands’ Lily's Garden Shiraz 2006 comes from the estate's 'Garden series'; their super premium range of Shiraz from one of the finest Shiraz growing regions in Australia.

In fact, Lily's Garden Shiraz is the pick of the bunch from Two Hand's McLaren Vale vineyards; a generous wine with cascading blue fruits and a rich long palate.

Two Hands was established by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz in 1999 in order to make the best possible Shiraz in Australia, and their eclectically named wines have consistently won rave reviews. In fact, Two Hands has earned a place in the Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines for ten years in a row, the only winery in the world to ever achieve this feat.

“The 2006 Shiraz Lily’s Garden comes from McLaren Vale. It reveals a complex aromatic array including balsam wood, spice box, violets, earth notes, pepper, blueberry, and blackberry. Layered and rich, it conceals enough ripe tannin to evolve for another 2-3 years. It has outstanding grip, depth, and a lengthy, pure finish.”

“Shows some subtlety, sliding its juicy blackberry and plum fruit through a veil of fine-grained tannins, with pepper and mineral overtones. Has a deft sense of harmony and balance." Wine Spectator

"Two Hands is a negociant operation run impeccably by Michael Twelftree. It reflects the best that can be sourced from all over South Australia.”
