Estate Notes

Two Hands was established by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz in 1999 in order to make the best possible Shiraz in Australia; and in just ten years their eclectically named wines have consistently won rave reviews. Bella’s Garden is the most awarded wine in the Two Hands’ portfolio, helping Two Hands to reach the momentous achievement of scoring a place in the Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines for ten years in a row, the only winery in the world to ever achieve this feat.

This outstanding achievement is accompanied by consistently excellent reviews and score ratings from some of the most acclaimed critics across the globe.

Reviews

“Deep purple-black in color, the 2009 “Barney’s Block” Shiraz is profoundly scented of warm blackberries and blueberry preserve over nuances of yeast extract, black olives, cloves, bacon fat and cedar. Very full bodied and powerful in the mouth, the palate is packed with primary blackberry and meaty / earthy flavors with ample support from a medium to firm level of grainy tannins and enlivening acid, finishing long with some baking spices coming through.” eRobertParker.com

"Two Hands is a negociant operation run impeccably by Michael Twelftree. It reflects the best that can be sourced from all over South Australia.” Robert Parker
