Super Tuscans

Super Tuscans

In 1971, Antinori's legendary winemaker, Giacomo Tachis, created the Tignanello, which caused massive controversy for being the first Tuscan wine to include Cabernet Sauvignon in a Sangiovese-based blend. However, it wasn't long before other Tuscan producers followed suit, and the (now legendary) Super Tuscan style was born.

We have a great range of keenly priced premium Super Tuscan labels available, including Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Tignanello, as well as the more modestly priced Vito Arturo from Le Fonti - a great introduction to this world-famous style.
