Estate Notes

Madeleine Angevine is a rarely seen variety, indigenous to the Loire Valley. An early ripening grape, particularly suited to southern England, and one of the pioneering varieties of English viticulture, it is simply divine with grilled fish or crab. Sharpham’s long Devon sun hours (yet coolish climate) provide the vines with a long growing season enabling a gentle ripening of the grapes, preserving their wonderful fresh aromas and flavours.

Reviews

Lovely nose – rich, with hints of lemon oil and vibrant lime zest, white floral and chalky notes. Vibrant and fruity in the mouth with lime, grapefruit and greengage, balanced by good acidity and minerality.
