Champagne Bollinger was established in the early 19th century by Jacques Bollinger and Paul Renaudin and is today one of the Champagne region’s finest houses. Bollinger remains under the control of the wider family and is synonymous with rich, complex, classic Pinot Noir based Champagnes.
Bollinger’s vintage Champagnes include: the 2009 Spectre Limited Release; the Grande Annee, only released in 'great' years, yielding from one harvest and aged for a minimum of five years in its bottle prior to release; Bollinger R.D. (late disgorged), which is kept on its lees for much longer than the norm (up to 10 years) to acquire great complexity, depth and richness, and the premium Vieilles Vignes Françaises - Bollinger’s super-luxury cuvée, crafted from ungrafted old vines in prime vineyards. Bollinger’s Special Cuvee is a rich, full-bodied Champagne style, surely one of the finest non-vintage champagnes on the market.
