Pol Roger's 2012 Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill yields from one of the greatest Champagne vintages (big, bold and powerful), and each bottle comes in a magnificent gift box.
The 2012 Sir Winston Churchill is a fabulous Pinot-dominated Champagne to enjoy after some bottle age; full-bodied and powerful yet with sensational minerality, salinity and toasty elements.
Pol Roger was Winston Churchill's favourite Champagne, who once famously commented that, “Remember Gentlemen, It's Not Just France We Are Fighting For, It's Champagne!” To give you an idea of Pol Roger's volume and rarity, only around 25,000 cases are made of Winston Churchill on each release, versus approximately 7 million bottles of Dom Perignon.

"Pol Roger's newly released 2012 Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is showing brilliantly, bursting from the glass with youthful aromas of honeyed pears, toasted brioche, pomelo, fresh pastry, green apple and mandarin orange, with hints of stone fruit emerging with time in the glass. Full-bodied, vinous and textural, with an enveloping core of fleshy, concentrated fruit, bright acids and an elegant pinpoint mousse, it concludes with a long, penetrating finish. More muscular and vibrant than the generous and charming 2009, the 2012 ranks alongside the 2008 and 2002 as one of the three finest renditions of Sir Winston Churchill this millennium—and in style it resembles a hypothetical blend of those two vintages." robertparker.com
"The tete de cuvee, Sir Winston Churchill, named after the estate’s most famous customer, is often among the finest wines in the region." Antonio Galloni
