Estate Notes

Pierre Bourée's Gevrey-Chambertin Villages 2016 yields from one of the finest red wine making village appellations in all of Burgundy - a wonderful Pinot of great finesse and discreet power. Enjoy with coq au vin, boeuf bourguignon or Burgundian cheeses.

Bourée still uses old wooden vats rather than stainless steel and only releases its wines when they are ready to drink - a very refreshing practice in today’s market.

Reviews

Sumptuous musky black fruit and violet aromas with notes of exotic spice and sandalwood. Superb fresh depth and spread, fine mineral purity and balance with velvety tannins; long, aromatic and lifted.

“...Bourée Père et Fils may be the last firm in the Cote d’Or to bottle their Burgundies in a top vintage. This firm maintains a surprisingly low profile and its prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality of their wines.” Robert Parker
