Domaine Pierre Bouree, Gevrey Chambertin, Clos de La Justice, Burgundy, France 2018
Wow: powerful black fruits, musk, spice and violet; very deep. Very opulent but perfectly balanced with great depth and concentration.

Pierre Bourée's 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos de la Justice is a big, powerful, opulent style of red Burgundy from a great vintage in the appellation.
Bourée's Clos de la Justice is a 2-hectare walled climat (vineyard) and blessed with 60-year-old vines, which produce small quantities of high quality fruit handpicked to ensure quality. The wine is vinified and aged for 20 months in oak (25% new) where it gains further structure and complexity.
Pierre Bourée still uses old wooden vats rather than stainless steel and the grapes are trodden by foot. And last but not least, Bourée only release their fine wines when they are ready to drink - a very refreshing practice in today's market.
Wow: powerful black fruits, musk, spice and violet; very deep. Very opulent but perfectly balanced with great depth and concentration; very long broad development and lifted rounded finish.
