Estate Notes

Traditionally known for their red wines (unsurprisingly since Bourée’s cellars are in Gevrey-Chambertin), their white Burgundies have become equally outstanding since Bernard Vallet, Pierre Bourée’s great-great-nephew, took control of the winemaking, given his aptitude and passion for white Burgundy.

Bourée still uses old wooden vats rather than stainless steel and the grapes are trodden by foot. And last but not least, Bourée only release their wines when they are ready to drink - a very refreshing practice in today’s market.

Reviews

Very elegant white fruits, floral notes and minerality, fresh, ripe and deep. Fine balance, good concentration and depth, mineral centre and development, and long aromatic finish.
