Estate Notes

Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 is a reflection of Grange: intensely-flavoured fruit, matured in new oak and a perfect expression of Penfolds' understanding of multi-vineyard, multi-region fruit sourcing.

Penfolds Bin 707 is a wonderful Australian Bordeaux-inspired red from the Barossa Valley, and was named after the 707 Jumbo Jet by an ex-Qantas marketing man. Penfolds 707 has the structure and the intensity in youth and then develops and evolves like the finest wines of its French counterparts.

Reviews

"The Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 16 months in new American oak hogsheads. A glass-coating opaque purple, it displays aromas of pain grille, pencil lead, mulberry, spice box, and black currant. Medium to full-bodied and seriously structured, it has the fruit to complement its frame. On the palate, espresso and chocolate make an appearance along with layers of savory black fruits. Dense and exceptionally lengthy..." eRobertParker.com
