Founded in 1984 by Bianco Mauro, Cascina Morassino now has first class vineyards; 3.5 hectares in Barbaresco and 1 ha in the municipality of Neive. With the aim of showcasing the maximum expression of the vine and terroir, their wines are a synthesis of tradition and modernity. Small gems that are loved all around the world for their great finesse, body and balance. Cascina Morassino Barbaresco Morassino comes from Ovello, a vineyard located at the top of the main hill in front of Barbaresco. This is one of the most important cru in the area, with vines aged thirty years old on average, planted on calcareous marls at 300 metres above sea level. They are cultivated using respectful agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
