Estate Notes

Fondrèche's most recent release of its stunning southern French white is a wonderfully complex, minerally style, with flinty salinity, smokiness, ripe fruit and floral nuances.

The 2017 Blanc vintage has benefited from the addition of Vermentino (aka rolle) and a high proportion of Roussanne in the blend. It was fermented in oak barrel and cask, then racked immdiately, put into tank with the lees and bottled after six months.

Sébastien Vincenti and Nanou Barthélemy’s Domaine de Fondrèche is widely recognised as one of the very best producers in the Ventoux appellation. What is more, their wines remain exceptional value, despite the ever increasing fame and demand.

Winemaker Sebastien Vincenti loves his terroir and believes that his vines are stronger when treated naturally, including 100% organic manure, no chemical herbicides, and complimentary planting between rows to prevent erosion, promote microbial life and aerate the soil.

Powerful aromas with ample ripe depth and dimension - pear, citrus, apricot, light vanilla and patisserie notes, and fine fresh mineral base. Deliciously fat, fresh and balanced, with fine concentration, cut of acidity, and long creamy mineral development and finish.
