Estate Notes

Fondrèche's stunning southern French white is wonderfully complex, ripe and fat, balanced by its underlying mineral signature.

The 2015 Blanc vintage has benefited from the addition of Vermentino (aka rolle) and a high proportion of Roussanne in the blend. It was fermented in oak barrel and cask, then racked immdediately, put into tank with the lees and bottled after six months.

Winemaker Sebastien Vincenti loves his terroir and believes that his vines are stronger when treated naturally, including 100% organic manure, no chemical herbicides, and complimentary planting between rows to prevent erosion, promote microbial life and aerate the soil.

"This terrific estate makes two great whites. Starting with the 2015 Cotes du Ventoux Blanc...offers lots of citrus blossom, pineapple and spice in a beautifully pure, racy style."

Ripe, fresh, youthful aromas. Very well-balanced ripeness and acidity on the palate: intense and mineral on the front, fat and fresh in the centre with very good depth, long aromatic and smoky (mineral) development. Fresh and intense on the long finish.
