Estate Notes

It’s a case of French-style viticulture here (the Rothschilds) coupled with a beautiful terroir in the breathtaking foothills of the Andes, which produces exceptionally pure, concentrated fruit from low yields. Here, the pebble and gravel-strewn alluvial terrain bears certain similarities to Bordeaux’s famed Graves appellation.

The Puncha de Flechas is a great introduction to Flechas de los Andes' range; an elegant, aromatic style of Malbec, rather than a blockbuster, made for early enjoyment.

Reviews

"...notes of prunes and dark cherries. Here 40% of the wine matured in oak barrels (used) and the rest was kept in stainless steel until bottling in June 2014. The palate is medium-bodied, with very fine tannins and a slight bitterness in the finish.

"Flechas de los Andes is one of the components of the Clos de los 7 group of Bordeaux wineries that established themselves in Vista Flores in the Uco Valley. It's owned by Benjamín de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault." eRobertParker.com
