Estate Notes

Domaine Fourrey's Côte de Léchet 2016 is complex, concentrated and creamy Chablis style, balanced with salty minerality and spicy floral notes - a class act.

The 2016 Chablis vintage is considerably down on quantity through meteorological factors, but quality is high amongst premium producers like Fourrey.

Jean-Luc Fourrey and his sister Marie are the fourth generation and driving force behind this exciting, emerging producer, marrying traditional and modern techniques on the quality stony slopes of the Côte de Lechet. It is no surprise that in just over a decade Fourrey has emerged as one of the best producers in Chablis. An exciting, up-and-coming venture – and an estate to watch.

Reviews

Characteristic saline minerality, exceptionally ripe and expressive, with good aromatic precision showing pronounced quince, citrus and spicy floral notes. A rounded and creamy palate, with fresh mineral depth, fine extract and supple acidity, balanced and fresh on the aromatic finish.

“The young Jean-Luc Fourrey continues to make important strides in quality….I believe we will see further improvement in the years to come.” Burghound.com
