Domaine Fourrey Chablis 1 er Cru Mont de Milieu 2019
"Vibrant minerality and a fine herbal and saline finish complete the picture. Stunning." Gilbert & Gaillard
|Grape Blend||Chardonnay 100%|

Domaine Fourrey's Mont de Milieu 2019 yields from one of the best-sited Chablis premier crus, being adjacent to the main group of Chablis grands crus.
By contrast with the expansive and lush characteristics of the finest white Burgundies from the Côte d'Or, the wines of Chablis typically display a characteristic steely, stony, mineral content.
Jean-Luc Fourrey and his sister Marie are the fourth generation and driving force behind this exciting, emerging producer, marrying traditional and modern techniques on the quality stony slopes of the Côte de Lechet. It is no surprise that in just over a decade Fourrey has emerged as one of the best producers in Chablis. An exciting, up-and-coming venture – and an estate to watch.
"Straw-gold. Chalky accents on the nose which reveals white fruit and hawthorn blossom honey notes. Lively, exhilarating palate with fleshy juiciness. Vibrant minerality and a fine herbal and saline finish complete the picture. Stunning." Gilbert & Gaillard
Firm fresh mineral depth with creamy concentration showing apple, pear, citrus and syringa blossom. Beautifully balanced ripe depth – focused front palate, deep fat concentration on the centre with good acidity to cut, fine fresh mineral development and broad creamy aromatic finish.
