Domaine Dujac Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2017 was purchased in its original cases.
Domaine Dujac is one of Burgundy's finest domaines. Acquired by Jacques Seysses in 1967, and today now comprises 28 acres in appellations including Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de la Roche, Clos St-Denis, Bonnes-Mares, and Echézeaux.
Jacques Seysses' approach is one of non-intervention, as he says: "Use knowledge and technology to counter accidents - for example, bad weather - but, if all is going well, don't interfere". Wise words indeed. Dujac's wines are neither filtered nor fined and noted for their exceptional fragrance, structure and longevity. Since 2012 Dujac has been certified as organic.
"The 2017 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is showing brilliantly from bottle, bursting from the glass with aromas of sweet cherries, cassis, orange rind, spices, black truffle, espresso roast and rich soil tones. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and mouthfilling, with a layered and nicely concentrated core, ripe tannins and succulent acids, concluding with a long and expansive finish." robertparker.com
