Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, La Tache, 1976 is in very good condition for the year.
Romanée-Conti's La Tache vineyards sweep from the top to the bottom of the mid slope, which contains the appellation's grand crus and covers a diverse array of terroir. This, in part, contributes to a more extravagant wine than Romanée-Conti itself.
Romanée Conti is Burgundy’s greatest producer, and its exceptionally rare wines are amongst the most sought-after and expensive in the world. Such is its fame, that Burgundians often refer to it simply as the ‘the Domaine’, and it owns incredibly valuable vineyards in each of Burgundy’s red wine Grand Crus.
