Estate Notes

Domaine de Cambes 2006 was purchased in its original wooden case.

Domaine de Cambes is the second wine from Roc de Cambes, derived from younger vines close to the Gironde.

Château Roc de Cambes is the finest château in Bourg under the perfectionist Francois Mitjavile (proprietor of Le Tertre-Rôteboeuf). It comprises 10 hectares of old vines on a south-facing slope in a natural amphitheatre facing the Gironde. Here, Mitjavile picks his grapes as late as possible to maximise ripeness and concentration, and the resulting wines are rich, stylish and full-bodied.

"I have been a big believer in this Cote de Bourg made by the obsessive/compulsive Francois Mitjavile, who is better known for his outstanding small St.-Emilion estate, Le Tertre-Roteboeuf."
