Domaine Alain Chavy, Puligny Montrachet, Burgundy, France 2018
This is aged principally in larger demi-muids rather than the traditional 228 litre pieces in order to give a lighter touch of oak to the wine. Crisp and lean with lovely, pure fruit. Finishes fresh and long.

Domaine Alain Chavy Puligny-Montrachet 2018 is a fine white Burgundy, a great entry level introduction to this estate..
Alain Chavy was amongst the earliest in Puligny to harvest, managing to retain excellent levels of acidity. The wines are crisp, structured and beautifully balanced, with a fine string of minerality on the finish. Fermentation and aging took place in barrel for 12 months before transferring to stainless steel for another 6 months. These are wines of distinction and have potential to age well with 3 to 5 years in a cellar that will add weight and richness.
This is aged principally in larger (450 litre) demi-muids in order to give a lighter touch of oak to the wine. Crisp and lean with lovely, pure fruit. Finishes fresh and long.
