Disznoko Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos 2002 (50cl)
"...sweet on the entry (even for a 6 Puttonyos) with spice, gingerbread and lemon rind infusing the viscous texture." erobertparker.com
|Grape Blend||Furmint, Hárslevelű, Muscat de Lunel|
Disznoko Tokaji Aszu 6 puttonyos 2002 was purchased in its original wooden case.
Puttonyos denotes the residual sugar level in Tokaji (measured in grams), and Tokaji is graded from 3-6 Puttonyos, with 6 being the sweetest.
The name Disznoko literally translates to the rock of the wild boar, and alludes to a large rock sat atop a small hill overlooking the vineyards. The estate is widely regarded as a 'first growth' Tokaji, and its 150 hectares, situated in the south west of the Tokaji region, were purchased back in 1992 by AXA Millésimes (owners of Château Pichon Longueville and Quinta do Noval) who have invested heavily and restored a once underperforming estate into one of Hungary's finest Tokaji producers.
"...an intense dried honey, lanolin and brown spice-scented bouquet that is very satisfying, later even a hint of Vervanne tea surfacing through the aromas. The palate is quite sweet on the entry (even for a 6 Puttonyos) with spice, gingerbread and lemon rind infusing the viscous texture." erobertparker.com
