Croft's 2017 Vintage Port is one of the most exotic and beguiling wines of the 2017 Port vintage vintage and one of the finest Croft Vintages of recent years.

The house of Croft was founded over 300 years ago. Indeed 1588 is the earliest evidence of the company being involved in port shipments. By 1827, Croft & Co. had become the fourth largest Port wine shipper. One hundred years later, they were occupying the number one position. The house of Croft enjoys a major reputation for its Vintage ports in particular and acquired the famed Quinta de Roeda in 1875.

Plum and dark cherry nose. Lovely fruit flavours with a touch of liquorice. The super ripe tannin gives structure and fine balance of acidity. Layered rich and opulent with a deliciously long finish.

"A seductive nose, ripe and voluptuous but with depth and density. Plump, juicy blackcurrant, black cherry and raspberry form the backdrop. However, the nose is soon drawn into a vortex of heady, complex aroma in which resiny scents of eucalyptus and gumcistus blend with pungent notes of sage and mint, fresh hints of grapefruit and a mellow spiciness. On the palate, firm, sinewy tannins are wrapped in a thick envelope of dense, velvety texture." Winemaker's notes
