Château Petit Védrines is the second wine of the Barsac cru classé, Château Doisy Védrines, which since 2001 has been making some of the very finest Sauternes.

The second wine comes from the less concentrated pickings on the main estate plus six hectares of vines that were bought in 2001 from neighbouring Château Bouyot. In fine vintages when most of the crop is of excellent quality the second wine offers delicious Sauternes at a great price.

"This brilliant, vibrant, young, juicy Barsac is great value. So sip this luscious, waxy, beautifully balanced, white flowers, white pineapple and spicy, dried apricot fruit-stashed pudding wine slowly at the end of a big feast." Jane MacQuitty, The Times
