Château Pavie 2000 is in virtually pristine condition - a perfect wine from a great vintage.
Under Gerard Perse, Château Pavie has become one of Saint-Émilion's leading châteaux. Perse is an absolute perfectionist and, since he took over in 1998, he has managed the 92 acre vineyard with nothing short of brilliance and his grapes are treated with kid gloves.
Dating back to the 19th Century, Pavie is situated on one of the district's most desirable plots in the hills south-east of the village of Saint-Émilion.
“Just a powerhouse of a wine that does everything right, the 2000 Château Pavie is drinking incredibly well today, offering huge blackcurrant and chocolatey darker berry fruits as well as loads of truffly earth, tobacco, and spice. Full-bodied, deep, and concentrated on the palate, it stays flawlessly balanced, and while I suspect the acidity is quite low, it has an incredible sense of freshness and a weightless texture. Fully mature, yet in the early part of its drink window, it has another two decades or prime drinking ahead of it.” Jeb Dunnuck
