Estate Notes

Château Latour needs no introduction – a world famous brand whose label commands huge respect and often price tags to match. But there is more to Latour than its hugely marketable name and label.

Latour is the most consistent of the first growths in terms of quality. Even in difficult years it manages to create wines that put many of its neighbours in the shade, and in doing so, has justly earned its reputation among many critics as being the Haut-Médoc's finest wine.

"Just as it should be. A perfect wine; full-bodied, with tons of ripe fruit flavors and round tannins. Truly impressive--like one of the old greats of Bordeaux." Wine Spectator

"Deep garnet-brick colored, the 1990 Latour displays mature sandalwood, leather and cigar box hints over dried berries and kirsch. The palate is evolved, offering a wonderfully spicy richness coupled by powdery tannins and finishing long and savory."
