"Full-bodied, rich, bold and oh-so-decadent in the mouth, the palate is completely packed with black fruit preserves and exotic spice layers, framed by wonderfully velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing epically long. Wow!" robertparker.com

Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2009 is a stunning wine from a great Bordeaux vintage. La Mission is luxuriously rich, intense and powerful. It is drinking beautifully well now, but promises so much more with bottle age.
Until Domaine Clarence Dillon, the owners of Château Haut-Brion, bought its neighbour, La Mission-Haut-Brion in 1984, it had been its greatest, albeit underperforming, rival. Since the purchase however, and under the (late) legendary Jean-Bernard Delmas and now his son, Jean-Phillipe, La Mission has gone on to produce equally sought after wines.
La Mission specialises in producing good wines even in trickier vintages, and is famed for its quintessentially-tasting Graves style: rich, earthy and full-bodied.
"The deep garnet colored 2009 La Mission Haut-Brion absolutely sings of warm red and black currants, chocolate-covered cherries, liquid licorice, sassafras and espresso with hint of lilacs, pencil shavings and truffles. Full-bodied, rich, bold and oh-so-decadent in the mouth, the palate is completely packed with black fruit preserves and exotic spice layers, framed by wonderfully velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing epically long. Wow!" robertparker.com
