Estate Notes

Château la Martinette Rollier 2015 is a classic Provencal Rosé; rich yet defined, and named after the brightly plumed migratory Rollier bird that visits this stunning estate shortly after bud burst.

La Martinette is beautifully set in 300 hectares of meadows, woodland and vines in Lorgues. Dating back to 1620, it is one of the oldest wineries in the region, which has undergone a transformation since the injection of capital in 2011.

Over one-third of the vines have been up-rooted, leaving just twenty hectares of the best vines on wonderful clay-limestone soil. Grapes for the Rollier are treated to a slow, delicate pressing and matured on their lees for four months to add complexity to this wonderful style.

"Subtle, intricate, gently nutty, sumptuously creamy scents of ripe apple, citrus and pear. Poised, fresh and lively pure flavours. Elegant and graceful with a floral finish. An excellent rose." Decanter Magazine

Intense nose of grapefruit, white stone fruits and tropical fruits. Lovely rounded summer fruits fill the mouth, balanced by underlying minerality, Provencal herbs and a nice touch of iodine on the long finish. Fresh, lively and concentrated, a quintessential Provence rosé, and a great food wine too. A more than worthy successor to the 2014 vintage.
