Estate Notes

Château Ferrière 2004 was purchased in its original case and boasts the style and class of Margaux, without having to raid the piggy bank – a boutique operation of just 8 hectares – and the Médoc’s smallest Grand Cru Classé.

Ferrière’s ambitious owner, Claire Villars, has taken what was one of the Médoc’s greatest disappointments to dizzying heights of quality and value-for-money in just two decades. Benefiting from a great terroir, Ferrière produces elegant, silky wines of real finesse.

“Aromas of plum and blackberry. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a medium finish...caressing and refined.” Wine Spectator
