Carrick's Pinot Noir is the estate's top Pinot; a lovely silky, yet structured style, with ripe fruit balanced by French oak.

Carrick's Pinot Noir yields from fruit sourced from the prestigious Bannockburn region of Central Otago. The estate is certified organic. Fermentation occurs naturally and the wine is matured for 12 months in French oak, of which about 15% is new.

Carrick was founded by Barbara and Steve Green in 1994, who planted vines on a rabbit-infested site in Bannockburn, the worlds most southerly winegrowing region, once a centre for gold mining in pioneering times. In fact, the name 'Carrick' is derived from the gold-mining town and the mountain range to which the estate points.

The Carrick Bannockburn Pinot Noir has become known for its structure and its ability to age well. This vintage displays an abundance of fragrance in the glass, underpinned by a silkiness in the tannin structure that integrates nicely with nice oak spice.
