Pauillac

Pauillac is a northern Haut-Médoc village appellation on Bordeaux’s left bank. Pauillac is the world’s most important and influential appellation and contains three of Bordeaux’s five first growth châteaux: Lafite Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild as well as other growths that punch well above the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, including Pontet-Canet, Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Lynch-Bages and Pichon-Longueville Baron. Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant grape variety planted on Pauillac’s gravel soils.
