Estate Notes

Champagne Bollinger has been Bond’s Champagne of choice for many years now and to celebrate the release of the 24th film (SPECTRE), Bollinger has released the 2009 vintage exclusively as the 'Champagne Bollinger SPECTRE limited Edition'.

The SPECTRE limited edition is packaged in a 'chill box' gift pack designed by Carré Basset and the wine sourced exclusively from Champagne Grand Crus. The Bollinger Spectre Limited Edition has been produced in small old oak barrels so as not to give the wines the taste of wood or tannins. It is a pure expression of terroir and aromatic richness which perfectly reflects the Bollinger style

Established in the early 19th century by Jacques Bollinger and Paul Renaudin, Bollinger remains under the control of the wider family and is synonymous with rich, complex, classic Pinot Noir dominated Champagnes with great aging potential. Around 75% of Bollinger’s grapes are harvested from its own vineyards to ensure quality.

“…one of Champagne’s historic houses. From top to bottom, there isn’t anything Bollinger isn’t doing well these days." Robert Parker

Deep golden colour, which demonstrates the wine’s maturity as well as Bollinger’s winemaking methods. White flowers, citrus fruit, delicately stewed pear with hints of vanilla, toasted aromas, hazelnut and breadcrumbs. Shows good maturity, yet quite lively with mirabelle plum, quince paste and honey with a finish of bitter orange.
