Estate Notes

Auntsfiled's Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016 was (like the previous vintage) rated 5 stars by Bob Campbell MW; a quintessential Kiwi Pinot style from a very good Marlborough vintage, characterised by concentrated fruit from low yields. Rich, silky, deep and beautifully textured - a stunning rendition.

Auntsfield's Pinot is hand-harvested and hand-sorted by family members and the care, attention and devotion shines through in the quality of the grapes and wine, which is aged in French oak barriques for approximately 10 months.

Auntsfield continues the proud heritage of being Marlborough’s first vineyard and winery established in 1873, and their Single Vineyard wines are made from grapes solely grown at the estate.

“Attractively scented pinot noir with dark cherry, plum, violet and spicy oak flavours. The wine has appealing density and a velvet texture. Very impressive, elegant red that’s pure pinot noir. A seductive wine.” Bob Campbell MW– 5 Stars
