Solaia 2004 is Antinori's flagship wine, with a worldwide following. Six hundred years of the Antinori's family winemaking skills and traditions have gone into making the Solaia, which is drawn from carefully selected grapes from the vineyard of the same name.
Aged in 100% French oak and bottled unfiltered to preserve the quality of its fabulous grapes and uniquely supreme soils, this is about as serious as Tuscany gets.

"The 2004 Solaia is breathtaking, as it so often is. Soaring aromatics lead to a sweet, layered expression of dark fruit. The wine possesses super clarity and precision with a gorgeous inner tension that carries all the way through to the long finish. The tannins remain incredibly finessed and silky. This is a more restrained, elegant style than the full-throttle 2001. 2004 is the first vintage in which the component wines were aged separately, rather than together, as had been the custom in previous vintages." Antonio Galloni
"Shows beautiful, complex aromas of flowers, currant and Christmas cake. Full-bodied, chewy and powerful. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc." Wine Spectator
