Estate Notes

Amelia Park, although a recent player in the Margaret River Wine scene, is a multi award-winner, having yet again awarded 5 Red Stars in James Halliday's Wine Companion 2016, placing the estate in the top 5% of wineries in Australia.

The Cabernet/Merlot 2012 was made by Jeremy Gordon, a finalist of the International Red Winemaker of the Year 2015 competition. The Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River is predominantly sourced for its consistency in producing rich fruit flavours and a small percentage of this blend is sourced from the Wallcliffe sub-region of Margaret River, located further south, providing subtle and elegant aromatics and fine tannins.

Reviews

“The blend percentages are not specified, but the wine spent 12 months in French oak. The cabernet is certainly dominant, with potent cassis and redcurrant fruit; the tannin structure is gently savoury, exactly as it should be, the palate long and well balanced.” James Halliday
