Achaval Ferrer's 2015 Quimera vintage is a rich, yet elegant and refined blend of pure Mendoza fruit.
It is matured in small French oak barrels, which help to fully express the fruit, which is selected for this prestigious blend just hours before picking by winemaker Roberto Cipresso - to ensure that only the finest, ripest berries go into this legendary Argentinean wine.
Achaval Ferrer was established in 1998 by a group of Italian/Argentine friends who wanted to deliver high quality wines that showcased the country's great soils and climate for vine growing, moving away from its reputation for mainly mass-market wines. It has now grown to be one of Argentina's finest wine producers with a brilliant winemaking team, including legendary Tuscan winemaker Roberto Cipresso, and is highly regarded for its limited production wines which are made in the vineyard, not the cellar.
