White Burgundy, 2011

2011 was a good white Burgundy vintage producing some ripe, elegant, delicate, charming, wines, with low alcohol and acidity, lovely purity and expressiveness. Made for relatively early enjoyment, rather than the long haul in the cellar.

A humid summer saw spikes of heavy rain and growers had to sort grapes to remove botrytis-affected grapes and an average yield.
