Saint-Émilion & Pomerol, 1992

A very wet growing season with a cool late summer produced many unripe grapes on both sides of the Gironde and green harvesting was widespread.

The pick of the producers made some soft, light wines, though the dearth of Cabernet is dominated by unappealing vegetal flavours and rather dilute wines. Pomerol was the pick of the appellations.
