Rhône Valley, 2005

2005 was an excellent Rhône vintage in all appellations. A powerful vintage produced serious wines built for the cellar.

A long, warm, dry summer, with cool nights, produced near perfect and gradual ripening conditions, and the harvest was picked in optimum conditions.

The best wines of the vintage combine good fruit weight with sufficient tannin and acidity to warrant ageing – wines of power, class, structure and distinction.
