The famed Prüm portfolio includes a number of truly illustrious vineyards, but it is undoubtedly the vines in the Sonnenuhr (lit.sundial) on the opposite bank to the town of Wehlen that produce the most iconic wines. These are long lived and represent some of the finest wines coming out of Germany today.

Wehlener Sonnenuhr is the name of the vineyard site while Spätlese literally means late harvest and encompasses a broad range of styles, including dry, medium-dry or sweet.
