Château Louvie’s 2005 is a great opportunity to taste a stunning Saint-Émilion vintage without the hefty price tag of some of its more famous Bordeaux neighbours.

Owner/ winemaker Christian Veyry crafts seductive Saint-Émilion with bags of charm from an outstanding terroir, below the village of St Laurent-des-Combes, which was ignored by many Bordeaux growers until Christian showed its full potential. But Christian’s ability to craft wines of great quality has made Saint-Émilion’s top growers sit up and take notice, and more importantly our own Members.

Deep, concentrated, spiced cherry, kirsch fruits to the fore with plums and mocha in the background. Ripe entry on the palate with lots of cherry, plums, chocolatey tannins, great depth and ripe fruit notes backed up by spice, mocha and wood-smoke.
