What is Cadman Fine Wines?
We are an online independent fine wine merchant. Our small team of wine experts is based in our offices in Castle Ashby, Northamptonshire. We also use long-standing freelance consultants.
What wines do you specialise in?
We specialise in the fine wines and great values of Bordeaux, other European classic regions and the New World, plus rare and hard to find wines from off the beaten track. We deal in many of the world’s premier wines, including famous labels from great and historic vintages, rare and exciting gems from indigenous grape varieties, and UK exclusives. We also sell fine and rare whiskies and Armagnac.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order. You may order as few or as many bottles as you like. We believe this policy allows you the greatest freedom of choice to explore and discover some of the world’s great wines.
How long does delivery take? We aim to deliver within 5 working days or less to UK mainland (non-mainland UK and overseas delivery will take longer). However, we are grateful for your understanding that in exceptional circumstances beyond our control delivery may take longer. Next day delivery is possible if the wines are in stock. If you would like next day delivery please contact us for advice.
Do you deliver to non-mainland UK? Yes. If you place an order online from non-mainland UK you will receive a message to tell you that we will contact you regarding the cost of shipping, and to take your payment details.
Do you deliver overseas? Yes. We regularly ship overseas, including Europe, Asia and Oceania. We deliver to most countries, except Russia. We are able to ship to certain States in the USA; please contact us for further details. If you place an order online from overseas you will receive a message to tell you that we will contact you regarding the cost of shipping, and to take your payment details.
How do I know if my order has been despatched? You should receive an email informing you of despatch the day that your order leaves our warehouse. This email will also give you an expected delivery day (usually one day after despatch).
Is your packaging robust and recyclable? We use either inflatable packaging or polypacks surrounded by cardboard outers, both of which have outstanding protective qualities in transit and are fully recyclable.
When do you take payment from my account? Payment is taken at the point of despatch. The only exception to this is if you have postponed delivery by a matter of months. In such cases we will take payment from your account before despatch in order to ensure that it doesn’t time out between the date that the order is placed and when it is despatched.
Can I collect my wine? We do not operate a retail shop, but wines can be collected directly from our offices in Castle Ashby. Please contact us in advance as much of our stock is not kept on our premises and we may require several days to get it delivered to us from our bonded stock.
Why is a wine in your brochure not on your website? Because the wine has sold out. Some of our wines are available in very limited quantities and tend to come and go quickly. New wines are also being constantly added to our website, and we recommend checking our site regularly for updates.
Can you get hold of a wine for me that you don’t stock? Should you have any specific requirements regarding fine and rare wines which we do not carry, we may be able to source them for you. Please contact us with details of your needs.
Can I send wine as a gift? Yes. And if you add gift packaging as part of your order, we will package it for you. You may also include a special message to the recipient(s) which can be entered in the ‘Order Comments’ box when placing your order.
Can I specify an exact date and time for my wine to be delivered? It is possible to specify an exact delivery date (especially if you would like to postpone delivery), but regrettably not a delivery time for your order. If your order is required quickly please contact a member of our team on 01604 696242 to check the availability of stock. Please note that delivery on Saturdays is available at an extra charge, but we are not able to deliver on Sundays. We are unable to deliver wine between Christmas and the New Year.
I've received a faulty bottle of wine. What should I do? If a bottle is damaged or faulty in any way please contact us and we will replace it or provide a full refund, whichever you prefer. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full details.
Office hours and orderline Our office hours are 9am-5pm (Mon-Fri). A call centre orderline operates outside of these hours. If you have a query about an existing order, wine or delivery, please contact us during office hours.
Vouchers If you have a voucher code, please redeem it at the checkout stage on our website or quote the code to a member of our team if ordering by phone. Please note that there is a maximum of one voucher per household and vouchers have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash.
The placing of an order anywhere on our website does not constitute a contract, which is made only when we accept your order and process payment.
We reserve the right not to accept any order.
Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on this website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mis-priced. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either: contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.
