Estate Notes

Château Clerc Milon 2004 is drinking exceptionally well now, though will also reward a little more cellaring, and an affordable alternative to its First Growth sibling, Château Mouton-Rothschild.

In fact, some critics have argued that Clerc Milon has even surpassed Mouton-Rothschild in sheer quality in certain vintages.

“Raspberry and blackberry aromas follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate, with velvety tannins and a caressing finish.” Wine Spectator

“This outstanding effort displays loads of cassis fruit interwoven with notions of espresso roast, white chocolate, and menthol. It possesses a terrific front end, good mid-section, and moderately high tannin in the finish...Château Clerc-Milon is a dark horse, a featherweight boxer that can pack a mighty punch.” Robert Parker
