A Rising Tuscan Star
The Lenzini family has been producing top flight Merlot and
Cabernet Sauvignon near Lucca since the mid-1990s, and their

We particularly recommend two of their recent vintages just

Lenzini, Merlot, 2008

…a sense of delicate refinement on the nose, with pretty

Bordeaux Satelite Stars – Chateau Veyry and Bel-Air la Royere

Filed under: News — admin @ 1:00 pm

The satellite appellations of Bordeaux currently produce some of the best-value claret. Bel-Air la Royere and Chateau Veyry are two impressive wines from vintages drinking at their peak right now. Don’t miss this opportunity; you will struggle to find better-value quality claret on the market.

Chateau Bel-Air la Royere, 2005

Full-bodied, with rich fruit, ripe tannins and plenty of
new oak. Impressive.
” Wine Spectator

Was: £19.99  Now: £15.99

Chateau Veyry, 2004

Sweet dark berry and mineral flavors…A very good
showing for this Cotes de Castillon wine.

P.S. A delightful blend of Malbec with a dash of Merlot, the 2009 Chateau du Caillau in Cahors (just a short way east of Bordeaux), is the best vintage we have tasted, and a perfect summer red for all occasions.

Chateau Latour 1962

Filed under: News — admin @ 4:13 pm

We are thrilled to be able to offer the following 11 bottles of Chateau Latour from the legendary 1962 vintage (often overshadowed by the 1961′s), in amazing condition from a recently opened original wooden case. A wine this rare, and in this condition represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to literally “taste history”. Rarely do we come across wines of this age which are in such excellent overall condition. The bottles are still in their original tissue and have been divided into two price groups:

Chateau Latour 1962, Code 2088
(6 bottles, Base of neck): £775.00 per bottle.
Chateau Latour 1962, Code 2089 (5 bottles, Top/High shoulder): £725.00 per bottle.
