Turk Erlesenes was voted not only the best Grüner Veltliner in Austria, but also the best Austrian white wine at the International Wine Challenge 2010. A truly fine and versatile food wine. Grüner has been around for a very long time, although until recently much of the local market snapped it up. In a blind tasting with Jancis Robinson MW it was actually ranked higher than many illustrious white Burgundies. Groovy Grüner is now all the rage, and this is your chance to taste one of the finest ever renditions – adding a thrilling new dimension to your white wine drinking. Turk Erlesenes is a family run winery dating back to the 18th century, situated in spectacular countryside in the Krems Valley, just a few miles from the Danube. Tasting Notes..This is an outstanding wine, a gourmet treat with spicy notes and a palate packed with ripe stone fruit. Lovely mineral notes, and so enticing, with super vitality. A great food wine. |
