Tapiz Torrontés 2010 is a wonderfully tropical, aromatic white.

The Argentinians seemed to have taken a liking to this aromatic grape variety and this is without doubt the finest example that we have come across to date. From vineyards at 1100m altitude, the grapes give an almost potpourri nose, with Asian spice and ripe, juicy pear/peach fruit on the fresh, textural palate. Absolutely stunning.

Jean Claude Berrouet, who has 43 years experience at Château Pétrus, was appointed consultant winemaker for Tapiz in 2012. Jean Claude was the first permanent winemaker at Pétrus, and was tantamount in creating one of the world’s finest wines. And with such mastery now on board, you can expect even greater things from Tapiz in the future.
