Sandeman's 1966 vintage Port comes from an excellent (if not underrated) Port vintage and was rated 4 stars by Michael Broadbent.
Sandeman was founded by Scotsman George Sandeman in 1790, and the family have remained involved ever since. Sandeman's motif is the famous 'Don' image, a Portuguese student's cape and hat, holding a glass of Port, created by George Massiot Brown in 1928.
Reviews..“The medium garnet color has held up quite well with some bricking on the rim, but otherwise this wine is still showing youth and it has the backbone for a long life ahead. Complex layers of cocoa and spice with excellent balance and a velvety mouthfeel.“

Fonseca's house style is one of richness and warmth, and lush fruit intensity. The 1983 is magnificently scented, full-bodied, creamy and showing great length and character.
